Do You Need Specialised Therapy Services ?

Standard therapy helps most people. Specialised therapy is for when standard isn't enough.

You've Tried Therapy Before and It Hasn't Held

You've sat with well-meaning practitioners who were clearly working from a framework that wasn't built for your experience. Too much context. Not enough actual work.

Your Identity Is Central to What You're Carrying

Being queer, neurodivergent, disabled, or from a marginalised background shapes everything. You need a clinician who already understands that,  not one you have to educate first.

Your Body Holds It More Than Your Mind Does

Talk therapy has helped to a point. But something still sits in your chest, your shoulders, your gut. That needs an approach that works in the body, not just around it.

What You've Been Through Needs More Than Coping Strategies

Trauma and complex histories aren't managed with breathing exercises. They need a structured clinical approach that actually goes to the root.

You've Accepted That This Is Just How It Is for You.

You've stopped expecting therapy to actually fit. You've adapted to frameworks that weren't built for you, and started believing that's as good as it gets. It isn't.

FAQ’s

Standard individual therapy addresses a broad range of concerns using general clinical frameworks. Specialised therapy services go further, the practitioner has specific training, the modality is chosen for a particular kind of experience, and the framing of the work accounts for identity, history, and context that general therapy often skips past. The difference isn't in the depth of care. It's in how precisely the approach fits what you're actually dealing with.

EMDR, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing, is an evidence-based approach that helps the brain process distressing experiences that continue to affect present-day functioning. Unlike talk therapy, EMDR works with how memories are stored in the nervous system, not just how they're understood cognitively. It's widely used for trauma, PTSD, phobias, and anxiety with a known origin. Sessions are structured and clinician-led, you're guided throughout, and you're never asked to relive events in detail.

It means your therapist starts from the position that your identity is not the problem. You don't spend sessions educating your practitioner about what being queer means, what the Indian context looks like for LGBTQ+ people, or why family rejection is painful. That groundwork is done. Sessions are sex-positive, intersectional, and shaped by an understanding of the social and systemic realities that affect queer mental health in India. The focus goes straight to what you need.

Neurodivergent-informed therapy doesn't treat ADHD, autism, or other neurological differences as disorders to be corrected. The framing starts from your actual experience, masking, burnout, sensory sensitivities, emotional regulation, and the exhaustion of functioning in spaces not built for you. Sessions are adapted to how you process and communicate, not to a standardised therapeutic script.

Yes. All specialised therapy services at The Therapy Park are available online across India, with the same clinical standards as in-person sessions. For modalities like EMDR and somatic therapy, practitioners are trained to deliver online sessions effectively, the quality of the work is not compromised by the medium.

No. You don't need a formal diagnosis to begin trauma-informed therapy, somatic work, or neurodivergent-informed sessions. If you recognise yourself in what a service describes, if the experience it names feels like yours, that's enough to start. Diagnosis can be a relevant context, but it's not a gatekeeping condition at The Therapy Park.

Many people do. Someone who is queer, neurodivergent, and carrying trauma isn't a rare case, they're a whole person, and good therapy holds all of it. Practitioners at The Therapy Park are trained across overlapping areas, and sessions are built around you rather than a single diagnostic category. The intake conversation helps identify the right practitioner and approach for your specific combination of needs.

You don't need to know before you book. The intake conversation with your practitioner is specifically designed to understand your history, identity, and what's brought you in,  and to recommend the right approach from there. You won't be placed in a framework that doesn't fit. That's the point of specialised therapy services.
